According to Express Tribune a district leader of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) was gunned down in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) on Sunday morning.

Malik Tufail was shot dead in the Ghoriwala neighbourhood of Bannu district by unknown assailants riding motorbikes. Sources told reporters that the gunmen fled the scene unchallenged.

Police have begun search operations in the area in order to arrest the culprits. A case has also been filed at Ghoriwala police station against unknown suspects, officials said.
